Guide For Guests With Disabilities

This Pavilion Access Guide was developed to provide our guests with disabilities with information about Bangor Waterfront Pavlion. A variety of accommodations are available to make your experience an enjoyable one.


  • Accessible seating services are available from the time the tickets go on sale until the time of the event. Seating is available in all price categories, and is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The Darling's Waterfront Pavilion has an Accessible Services Program (ASP) to better serve patrons who experience disabilities and individuals with special needs. It is our goal to provide a fully enjoyable experience for all patrons. By providing these services, we hope that patrons with disabilities will have no hesitation in attending an event at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. The Accessible Services Program exists to provide the best available seating to meet any individual’s needs. The program may be used to order tickets to events, request special services, or for other assistance needed in order that an individual may more fully enjoy an event.
  • Certified service dogs for guests with disabilities are welcome at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. All other animals are prohibited. If special accommodation is requested, please contact the administration office at 207-358-9327


Waterfront Concerts strive to provide an accessible environment for all its Guests at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. Wheelchair accessible and aisle transfer seats are available at various price points and locations and include GA Pit & Golden Circle locations.

Accessible Parking Spaces

There are a limited number of public designated accessible parking spaces located around the Bangor waterfront. Prior to a concert the parking spaces are public, but they become handicap spaces for concert events. The majority of the spaces are located on Front Street between Seadog Restaurant and Railroad Street.

Accessible spaces for Wheelchair Users

Wheelchair spaces are located in the General Admission Lawn Area, ADA Section, & seated sections.

Accessible Seats for Visually Impaired and/or Blind

Fan Seating for visually impaired fans is located in the General Admission Lawn area, ADA Section, & seated sections.

Accessible Seats for fans with Ambulatory Impairments

Seating for fans with ambulatory impairments is located in the General Admission Lawn area, ADA Section, & seated sections.

Disabled Services Tickets

The Darling's Waterfront Pavilion provides disabled accommodations and sells tickets to disabled individuals through our Disabled Services department, which may be reached at 207-358-9327, any weekday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Guests in need of disabled accommodations may also purchase tickets through TicketMaster (by calling 866-858-0007 or through ticketmaster.com).

Companion Tickets

At a minimum, based upon availability, you will be permitted to purchase tickets for you and one guest beside you. You may also purchase tickets based upon availability for additional guests in close proximity to our wheelchair sections.

Seat Relocation

If you are a wheelchair user and obtain non-accessible tickets please call the Disabled Services department in order to be relocated, whenever possible, to a designated wheelchair location. We do, however, encourage you to utilize our services when purchasing tickets, so that we may better assist you.

Temporary Disabilities

Temporary Disabilities If you have a temporary disability/injury and you have already purchased tickets to an event, please call the Box Office Disabled Services department at 866-858-0007 and we will make the necessary arrangements for you to attend the event in a comfortable and enjoyable manner. When calling, please have the event, date, section, row, and seat available.

First Aid (Medical)

Emergency medical personnel and ambulances are at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion during all concert events. There is two first-aid locations: Lawn Level and at the main entrance on Railroad Street. Automated external defibrillators are located at EMS points inside the Pavilion, and designated medical personnel have been trained and certified to use them. Guests in need of medical assistance should notify security personnel or the nearest Waterfront Concerts Guest Service Team Member or go to the nearest first-aid station. Roving medical personnel are also available throughout the Pavilion.

There are two ramps located inside Darling's Waterfront Pavilion: one adjacent to left-field side of the lawn section near Main Street and one adjacent to main gate near handicap parking on Front Street. Both ramps are wheelchair accessible.


Restrooms and wheelchair accessible restrooms are located on all levels of Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.

Service Animals

Service animals accompanying Guests with disabilities are permitted at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. If special accommodation is required, please contact Disabled Services. Guests who need to “park” or “air” their service animal must proceed to the main gate, adjacent to vendors, to have their ticket stamped/signed by security personnel. After the ticket has been stamped/signed, Guests may exit and re-enter the venue.

Where is your handicap parking?

In Bangor, Handicap Parking is available & spots can be found on Front St & is FREE and filled on a first come first serve basis. Reserved Parking passes are also available for $20 through the Ticketmaster Box Office at 1-800-745-3000. All other parking is in public or private lots adjacent to the venue.(Also see Parking)

I am a wheelchair user and obtained non-accessible tickets from a friend or company, can I use them?

YES If you are able to obtain non-accessible tickets, and you are a wheelchair user, please call the Disabled Services Department in order to be relocated, whenever possible, to a designated wheelchair location. We do, however, encourage you to utilize our services when purchasing tickets, so that we may better assist you.

I am a wheelchair user and would like to sit with my friends and/or family members. Is this possible?

YES At a minimum, you will be permitted to have one guest beside you. We will allow additional guests to sit with you based upon availability in the wheelchair sections. We also have additional companion seating in close proximity to our wheelchair sections.

I am a wheelchair user, am I forced to sit in the rear?

NO the Bangor Pavilion has dispersed wheelchair seating throughout the venue at several price levels. Additionally, if you are able to transfer to a seat and wish to do so, we can provide an aisle transfer seat.

I cannot attend an event; does this mean I lose my money?

If you are unable to attend an event, please contact the Disabled Services Department prior to the event taking place for further instructions.

I already have tickets for an event and I recently broke my leg and have a cast on. What can I do?

Please call the box office at 1-866-858-0007 to Disabled Services Department and we will make the necessary arrangements for you to attend the event in a comfortable and enjoyable manner.

What time can I enter the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion prior to an event?

Doors normally open two hours prior to the start of the event.

Where do I enter the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion to attend an event?

Patrons with disabilities may enter the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion via the main entrance located at lower Railroad Street, or at the corner of Main Street and Railroad Street.

Is there handicapped seating and parking?

Yes, please let the box office know when you are purchasing tickets that you are looking for handicapped seating. Request Accessible Tickets When ordering online click “Request Accessible Tickets” (to the right of “Search for Tickets”) to complete and submit a request form. A Ticketmaster Fan Support rep will contact you by phone or email to confirm your order.
